Southern Oceaneering are South African pioneers in the utilization of Geo-Containers and Geo-Tubes in marine construction.

Southern Oceaneering manufactures and installs Geo-Containers and Geo-Tubes of specifically designed durable non-woven Geo-textiles. The range includes Geo-textiles for hydraulically filled tubes and dry filled Geo-Containers of various sizes designed specifically to the particular project requirements. Increasing environmental concerns have lead to the approval of the above mentioned products to be applied in Groynes, artificial reefs and emergency containment.

One of the first large SA marine projects of this nature was at Langebaan. This was successfully completed by Southern Oceaneering between 2004 and 2006. Groyne structures were constructed off-shore to alleviate a critical coastal erosion problem by our marine engineering team.
